Arthur Leclerc, younger brother of Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, has secured a cockpit in Formula 2. Leclerc will compete for DAMS from 2023.
Just one day after Charles Leclerc secured the vice world championship title in Formula 1, it was announced that his younger brother Arthur Leclerc will make the step up from Formula 3 to Formula 2 next season. The Monegasque competed in Formula Homelockssmith 3 for Prema last season and finished the year in 6th place – winning a race at Silverstone. Before that, he took third place in the German Formula 4 Championship and second place in the 2020 Formula Regional European Championship.
After two years in Formula 3, Formula 2 together with DAMS is on the agenda for the younger Leclerc brother in 2023. However, the former Prema driver will start his Formula 2 career much earlier at the Formula 2 post-season test in Abu Dhabi on November 23.
